GREENING YOUR ORGANISATION

Cutting energy and making better use of resources can reduce organisational costs over the longer term, promote your organisation as environmentally responsible and help you comply with regulatory requirements. We will shortly be publishing a new practice brief to support housing providers to do just this.

To mark the launch of this publication we are holding two whole-day events in October (Birmingham and London). The delegate fee of £30 includes lunch and a hardcopy of the brief.

CIH IS CHANGING GOVERNANCE REFORM WORKING GROUPS

Nominations have now closed for the Working Groups that are being established to take forward key aspects of the Governance Reform proposals that were approved at the AGM in Harrogate in June. Thanks to everyone that has put themselves forward.

There has been a terrific response and officers, together with Paul Diggory who is co-ordinating the establishment and operation of the Groups on behalf of Council, are currently working through the nominations. It is hoped to accommodate as many people as possible and to try and offer everyone their first or second choice.

Further contact will be made with all interested parties very shortly to announce group compositions and to confirm working arrangements.
