Improving housing outcomes for women and children experiencing domestic abuse 

Last summer the Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Local Government, Aileen Campbell MSP announced the creation of a Scottish Government working group to consider how Scotland could improve housing outcomes for women and children experiencing domestic abuse. This was to be co-chaired by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Scotland and Scottish Women’s Aid (SWA) and the group would split its work into two phases. Phase one would focus on the work of social landlords and phase two would look at the issue of private housing, both the PRS and owner occupiers.

Poor housing causing health problems for nearly a third of brits during lockdown

Additional investment must be tempered by reality of decarbonisation cost  

The Welsh Government has today introduced its draft budget for 2020-2021, announcing major investment to support organisation to achieve its 20,000 affordable homes target.
