Outstanding development of the year
We are looking for a landlord who has shown ambition, determination and innovation to deliver an outstanding development of new homes. This is not all about scale. You may be a big developer who has found a way to deliver a significant number of properties or you could have developed on a much smaller scale but been particularly inventive in your approach. How did you deliver high-quality homes? And what impact has it had on people? Tell us the whole story.
Outstanding innovation of the year
This is your chance to show us real originality. You will have thought outside the box to deliver a service or product in a way which shows true innovation. Technology may have been central to your innovation but this isn’t essential. We’re looking for original thinking to deliver something which has strengthened your work. The best projects or ideas will have changed the way you work in a clear and sustainable way. They should also have helped you reduce costs and enhance your overall service.
Transforming services for customers
We’re looking for the ‘wow’ factor. How have your people worked together to create efficient, high quality, outstanding services that both you and your tenants can be proud of? How did you take your staff and residents on the journey with you? And what has the positive impact been? Your transformation of a specific service may be at the heart of your submission but we’re looking for work which has had a positive impact across the organisation.
Apprentice of the year
Do you have a truly outstanding apprentice who has hit the ground running and made a real contribution to your organisation? Or are you an apprentice and want to put yourself forward to compete against the best in the country.
This award recognises the outstanding contribution of an apprentice in housing. It is open to any applicant undertaking an apprenticeship scheme or a traineeship, in any discipline and working in the sector.
New professional of the year (CIH members only)
This award will showcase, recognise and celebrate the successes of housing professionals at an early stage of their career and have normally worked in the housing industry for less than three years. This award is designed to demonstrate that it doesn’t matter what stage of your career you are at, you can achieve great success and achievements. If you know someone who has shown great promise early in their career or you’ve had a big impact yourself, this is the award for you.
Exceptional contribution by a CIH member (CIH members only)
Do you know a CIH member who has gone above and beyond to make an outstanding contribution? This award highlights outstanding professional achievement and individual personal contribution by a CIH member working in housing. We’re looking for someone who has shown their commitment to their organisation and the communities they work in.
They will have made an outstanding commitment to their profession and be an inspirational role model for those working in housing. They will also personify the ethics and professional standards underpinning CIH membership.
