    Where you can study

We understand how busy you are.

If you are already working full time, the idea of fitting formal study into your busy day can seem daunting. That's why many of our courses can be completed in bite-sized chunks - when and where you want to. We have a network of 75 accredited centres across the UK and Republic of Ireland for face-to-face teaching or you can choose distance or blended learning. Some of our courses can even be delivered in-house, at your premises or a location of your choice.

    Flexible learning through QCF

Many of our courses are delivered through the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) - the new system for recognising skills and qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. There is a Scottish Qualification framework that works in a similar way.

The QCF awards credit for qualifications and units, allowing learners to build up their learning in small steps. Each unit studied has a credit value. One credit represents ten hours of learning. Each qualification is allocated a level, which indicates how difficult the qualification is, from Level 1 to Level 8. There are three types of qualification:

    • Award (1 to 12 credits)
    • Certificate (13 to 36 credits)
    • Diploma (37 credits or more)
