CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF HOUSING GOVERNANCE REVIEW
Members event being held on 6 April 2010 in Edinburgh
Is CIH fit for purpose?
Want a say in how CIH is governed?
Help to shape your professional body.
Over the last year, the CIH has undertaken a thorough review of its governance. This has involved consulting with its members using an online survey and meeting with all Regional Committees and National Business Unit Boards.
You will soon be sent the consultation document “Always Well Run”. This paper will give an overview of the proposals as well as an opportunity for you as members to contribute and comment. Reviewing governance has become good practice for charities, professional bodies, housing associations, local authorities and the private sector. CIH’s work is steered by our members therefore Council members are seeking your views on the proposals.
You are invited to attend a lunchtime forum to discuss the review and hear from Grainia Long, Director of CIH Northern Ireland who has been leading on the review. Jim Strang, Chief Executive of Parkhead Housing Association and Vice-Chair (Policy) of CIH Scotland will also be speaking.
The forum will start at 12pm when a buffet lunch will be served and finish at 2pm.
If you would like to come along on Tuesday 6 April, please get in touch with Holly Woodward on 0131 225 4544 or email holly.woodward@cih.org
