CIH in the North East aims to be influential for its members and helps equip the regions housing professionals to be effective in meeting the aspirations of customers. We work to ensure there are many ways that those involved in housing issues are informed and able to provide the best services to the communities they serve.
At our North East regional conference in November 2009 the committee began a consultation requesting views from members on the activity the committee should carry out in the future, complementary to the overall ongoing CIH Governance Review. We want to ensure that our work is relevant, connected and influential for members and open to all, closed to prejudice.
The 5 draft areas of activity we are asking for members views on are :
• Representing members in regional policy and strategy matters
• Arranging highly regarded best practice and networking seminars
• Being learning focussed with strong links to education centres
• Ensuring effective communication with existing and potential members
• Coordinating a varied and exciting social events programme
We aim to agree the outcome of the consultation at our AGM in April 2010.
The consultation runs until the end of February 2010.
