| FREE LUNCH & LEARN TRAINING STUDY TRIP taking in 3 separate but very different locations………………
We will first meet up for lunch before taking a tour of BOHOUSE – an innovative development of 20 live / work units within the Boho Zone, part of the town’s Digital City initiative. Moving onto STAGES ACADEMY - offering temporary accommodation in 30 ensuite bedrooms with communal facilities and 18 self contained apartments in a safe, friendly and supportive environment to single people from 16 to 65 years. With supported housing staff available 24 hours a day 365 days a year, its aim is to help clients transition from supported to independent living. Before finishing our tour at TRINITY DEVELOPMENT (UK Housing Awards 2009 Winner) – a mixed use regeneration scheme in an area of Middlesbrough where the housing stock was unfit and where regeneration was a key priority for Middlesbrough Council. In physical terms the project has delivered a new road infrastructure, a new medical village including doctor’s surgeries, dentists and clinical space for health workers. With a renewed market square, improved community centre, affordable family homes and an older persons extra care scheme, this forward looking development has delivered fantastic improvements to the fabric and cohesion of the neighbourhood.
