    Background information of the Butler Bursary

    The scheme is named after the CIH's former President and Chief Executive, David Butler, who retired in 2007. It is a learning grant scheme which provides financial support for people wanting to pursue and progress a career in housing. The scheme is supported financially each year by CIH and Ocean Media Group Butler Bursary fund.

    Since its introduction in 2008 the Bursary scheme has supported many applicants to complete CIH accredited qualifications, attend short CIH courses and conferences and carry out research projects.

    The Bursary Scheme

    In 2017 priority will be given to applications for funding for CIH recognised courses at Level 5 and above and particularly programmes meeting the requirements of the CIH professional qualification and leading to CIH chartered membership. 

    The closing date for applications is Friday 11 August at noon
