The CIH Level 5 diploma in housing is an accredited qualification leading to chartered membership status.
The programme is open to all housing professionals who meet the required criteria, and will provide you with a detailed understanding of the housing environment and the skills in policy making and delivering housing in sustainable communities at management level.
The diploma can be studied entirely online, over the course of 12 months, or can be delivered in-house at your organisation.
To access this programme you should be working in either a paid or voluntary capacity in housing and also have completed one of the following:
- CIH Level 4 certificate for the housing profession, or
- CIH Level 4 certificate, or diploma, in housing practice, or equivalent
You will be asked to provide evidence of your qualifications and/or experience of working in the housing sector as part of the application process.
The CIH Level 5 diploma in housing provides individuals with knowledge and understanding across key areas of housing policy and practice, at a recognised professional standard. The course provides the knowledge and skills required to perform in a senior management role.
You’ll also receive free CIH membership for the duration of your studies, providing you with access a wealth of guidance, support and practical advice on both housing and developing your career. You will also be entering into an international network of like-minded housing professionals.
On completion of this course you will be eligible for chartered member status, granting use of the ‘CIHCM’ designation, demonstrating that you are a fully-qualified housing professional.
The course takes 12 months to complete and costs £2,350.
