It’s time to nominate your inspirational colleagues for the CIH Cymru 2019 corporate awards. There are two categories to choose from and the winners will be announced first hand at the TAI 2019 conference gala dinner taking place on the evening of Wednesday 1 May in Cardiff.

 Apprentice of the year

(nominations must be made by the applicant’s employer)

This award recognises the contribution of apprentices across the housing sector in Wales. The award is open to any applicant undertaking an apprenticeship scheme or traineeship, in any discipline within the housing industry in Wales. The judges will be looking for submissions which can demonstrate that the applicant:

  • has made a significant commitment to personal development with achievement and attainment in learning
  • has exceeded expectations and made a significant difference to the organisation in which they work
  • has evidenced a positive approach to their day to day work and shown a willingness to be creative and innovative

Submissions must be made using our online booking form only. Entries must be received by no later than midnight on Friday 29 March 2019.

New housing professional

(nominations must be made by the applicant’s employer)

This award recognises the successes of housing professionals at an early stage of their career who have worked in the housing industry for less than three years. The award is open to individuals in substantive posts or trainee positions; both students and non-students are eligible. The judges will be looking for submissions which can demonstrate that the applicant:

  • has achieved outstanding success within their organisation within the short period of time they have worked in the sector
  • has taken personal responsibility and initiative for their career and professional development
  • has demonstrated that they are passionate and driven about housing and committed to ethics and professional standards for working in the sector 

Shortlisted candidates will be expected to complete a stage 2 application submitting three

200-word answers to a set of questions. Finalists should also be expected to participate in a number of activities in the run up to and during the TAI 2019 event.
