Showcasing best practice »

Showcasing best practice

Capturing and sharing projects as examples of new and innovative ways of delivering is an important element of the Welsh Housing Awards and this year we’ll be working harder than ever to raise the profile of our shortlisted and winning entries.

The Welsh Housing Awards has always been about promoting the sharing of good practice and new ideas.  In 2016 we're doubling down on the opportunities available to organisations who apply, so that they can get their best projects and ideas in front of fellow housing professionals.  Check out some of the new features we're adding for this year's Awards.

Good Practice Compendium

One of the core objectives of CIH is to encourage learning and the sharing of best practice. Every entry successful in making the shortlist will appear in the good practice compendium and this year we are doubling the size of every feature from a half page to a full page. The compendium is available to download free of charge. This is a fantastic tool for the whole sector to use collectively to improve the way Wales is delivering at a time of great uncertainty.

Members' Choice Award

This year CIH Cymru will be offering our membership the opportunity to have their say on who wins our new members’ choice award. In advance of the Welsh Housing Awards ceremony we’ll be sending out the good practice compendium to every member in Wales; they’ll then be able to vote for their winner from any of our shortlisted entries and we’ll be announcing the winner first hand at the event.

Study visits and speaking engagements

In 2017 we’ll be offering both shortlisted and winning organisations a number of fantastic opportunities to demonstrate their amazing achievements and skills in the sector.  A number of projects will be showcasing at some of the events featured in our 2017 programme including TAI – Wales premier housing conference and exhibition.  We’ll also be arranging a number of study visits to projects across the breadth of the country jointly with HouseMark Cymru.

There’s never been a better time to take part in the industry’s most respected awards event.
