About the Event

The annual CIH North West Conference and Exhibition is the essential housing event, dedicated to housing professionals who want to learn about the latest trends and issues in their region.

This year’s theme is ‘Housing Futures - A New Vision in the North’. With a potential change in Government and current economic uncertainty, the housing industry has been, and will continue to be, exposed to many new challenges. This conference will equip you with the tools and knowledge to face those challenges head-on.

Influential and knowledgeable speakers will inspire and encourage you to improve your skills whatever your role. An excellent variety of plenary sessions and interactive workshops will give you opportunities to share best practice and keep up to date with the latest tactics in your field. You will also be provided with the perfect opportunity to network in a relaxed atmosphere.

Benefits of attending this event

Motivational Speaker - Simon Weston OBE

In 1982 the Sir Galahad was destroyed in Bluff Cove on the Falkland Islands. On board was Simon Weston, a Welsh Guardsman, who suffered 46% burns to his body. His story was followed in 5 BBC documentaries and he became well known for his struggle to overcome his injuries and redefine his role in life.

Following his injuries, Simon's road to physical, spiritual and mental recovery saw him active in a number of highly successful ventures including 'The Weston Spirit', a Liverpool-based young people's charity. He remains a tireless worker for the Royal British Legion and the Royal Star and Garter Home and his charitable work earned him an OBE in the 1992 Queen's Birthday Honours. A successful author Simons autobiography “Walking Tall” was a number one Bestseller and his follow up books “Going Back” and “Moving On” were both top-ten sellers

Today Simon takes the opportunity to convey his story in order to motivate and encourage those, who like him, want to move on to the next goal, whatever it may be! The only obstacles to achieving one's targets and successes are those you create for yourself. Simon's own career clearly demonstrates how a positive mental attitude can achieve great business goals.
