About the Event

This event will look at how your organisation can continue and succeed with economic development and regeneration during the recession, with managing new and existing homes.

The event will investigate the creation of the HCA which brings together the Housing Corporation and English Partnerships and the progress the two agencies have made since their creation along with the current planning agenda and advice on how to improve the links between Planning and Economic Development

During the day you will gain an understanding of how Local Authorities and those working in rural areas are addressing the challenges facing them in the recession. Sessions during the day will look at the delivery vehicles appropriate in the current economic climate. The event will also look at understanding how to attract private sector funding and recommendations to achieve this.

The event will cover a number of topics including developing Extra Care housing, good practice at First Wessex and an in depth look at the regeneration work in North Solihull.

With topical and thought provoking plenary sessions and lively interactive workshops this conference will motivate you to work toward achieving high quality sustainable homes and communities. This conference will give you the opportunity to develop your approach to creating communities that people will want to live in for years to come.
