About the Event

This is the event for people working in homelessness and lettings for local authorities, RSLs and the voluntary sector.

Last years Annual Conference was the biggest yet with over 500 attending over two days, it was totally sold out. The CIH Lettings & Homelessness Conference 2009 promises to build on this success for the best yet! – book early to avoid disappointment!

Whether it is finding out about future Government policy for homelessness and allocations or hearing about practical ways for improving your service this conference is a must.

Everyone should have the opportunity to rent or buy a decent home at a price they can afford, in a place where they want to live and work.

In pursuit of this, there have been many Government initiatives and areas of investment announced,:

With rising customer expectations and government led changes and targets, there are challenging times facing the housing industry in this current financial climate. This Conference will assist you through these testing times with a selection of both strategic and practically themed workshops. Over the two days there will be workshops aimed at both front line staff and at those managing teams.

Who Should Attend:

This national event is for Directors and Managers who are looking to drive the improvement of their staff, it is also for front line staff who want to keep up to date with the latest information. The event is for Local Authorities and Housing Association staff and those working in the voluntary sector, dealing with a range of lettings, allocations and homelessness strategies and implementation. This event will also be valuable to professionals such as health or welfare teams, and other areas within housing where the lettings and homelessness policy impacts on other customers
