Student Conference - Learning for the Future of Housing
About the event
The Chartered Institute of Housing in the East Midlands, in partnership with the Centre for Comparative Housing Research at De Montfort University in Leicester are working together to host this conference.
Housing practitioners in the Midlands who are currently studying plus recent graduates thinking of studying or considering the learning needs for their housing organisations, will hear the very latest CIH research on frontline housing futures.
CIH President Paul Tennant will lead us in the debate on the future for housing organisations. Dr Jo Richardson and Dr Tim Brown will both lead seminars. You will also hear from Peter Bond who won the Rising Star Award from the CIH in 2013 and Michael Bruce, Chair of the CIH East Midlands Regional Board.
We will also offer you the opportunity to meet key regional housing organisations to discuss career opportunities during break-out sessions, learn more of what they do and who they are.
The conference is free to attend, but registration is essential.
A limited top up for delegates whose travel costs exceed £30 will be available. Public transport to be used where possible and receipts must be supplied for any claims made.
Benefits of attending
Delegates will have an opportunity to network and learn more about this area of the industry.
There will also be an opportunity to pose questions to speakers.
