About the event

We are proud to bring you our first CIH asset management and repairs summit. This event, the sector’s first virtual asset and repairs summit, is designed to put you as a housing professional at the heart of the experience - and in control of what and how you learn.

Over three days we have an event packed with innovative and practical content that reflects the very challenging circumstances we currently face. This summit will be even more business-critical than ever.

From gas servicing, void and empty property repairs, day to day repairs or future maintenance planning as we enter the 'new normal' the summit programme has something for everyone.

Our exciting and interactive online platform will ensure you have all the opportunities to participate in a sector-first event; to listen, question, share, learn and real-time network with speakers and fellow professionals.

The CIH platform offers you the opportunity to build interactive collaborations and networking opportunities, offering a superb attendee experience.

We haven’t just taken a traditional conference programme and dropped this online – that wouldn’t provide the delegate experience you’ve told us you’re after.

Instead we’re offering you ways of engaging and sharing ideas that have never been tried in the [social] housing sector before, while maintaining the breadth and quality of speakers you expect from CIH.

What can you expect at the virtual summit?

The lay out of the event allows you to virtually sit with other delegates, interacting in real time, providing a very real human connection.

On arrival at the summit, you will enter the Networking Lounge, a virtual space with a main stage and tables of six delegates. Select a table. Here you will all start your summit journey; getting to know each other, starting to share ideas and knowledge. Each table uses video, audio and chat to allow you to interact naturally in real time. You can move around the tables to make new contacts and share ideas, all the while getting the full benefit of the presentation from the main stage.

You can select what sessions work for you, building an entirely personal experience and programme of learning. You can drop in and out, and no two sessions will be running simultaneously, meaning you can take in every bit of the summit - giving you more choice than ever before.

Sessions will be a mixture of formats, with presentations from innovative and inspiring speakers from across the sector and beyond, including from disruptor sectors. There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved, with our ‘raise your hand’ feature and the opportunity to ask questions and share your own thoughts. But equally if you’d rather just listen in, that is OK as well.

Back in the networking lounge, we’ll be bringing you the opportunity to have discussion-led groups via table video chats. There’s even a whiteboard for you to write down your collective ideas.

Build your own programme

The summit is uniquely pre-scheduled to help you derive the most value from your experience. You select which sessions you want to attend, creating your own personalised itinerary and ensuring you make the most of your valuable time.

Sessions will be spaced out, allowing you to break from the summit and screen time and continue to take calls, respond to emails or just take a break to prevent burnout or fatigue at this challenging time.

We will record all the sessions, so if you do want to catch up on anything that you had to miss you can do so at a time that better suits you.

Our sessions have been carefully selected to focus on quality content addressing the topics that you have told us that you want to hear about in the current climate.

It doesn't stop there

We are the home of housing professionals. So as well as your time at the summit, we recognise that learning will continue, and we want to support you with the tools to do just that. As part of the summit package you will also get:

• Access to a pre-event collaboration hub where you can meet and discuss key issues with fellow attendees in advance of the event.

• Become a CIH member for the same price, until the end of 2020, giving you access to the latest information and advice on policy issues and best practice (membership becomes active on receipt of virtual summit place payment)

• A digital masterclass in July 2020 run by our summit chair Richard Medley and designed to follow up on the key learning outcomes, provide further ideas exchanges and discussions six weeks after the summit

• A summary report listing the key outcomes from the summit

Please do not share the links with your colleagues. Anyone who attends the summit without pre-registering will be charged the full fee for attending.
