North East Conference 2019
About the event
Earlybird offer: Book by 30 August to get 10% of all delegate rates!
The CIH North East conference is the biggest and best housing event in the region and the only event of its kind. It gives you the chance to come together with fellow professionals, explore the challenges you face and join the debate on how we move forward.
While the lack of affordable housing in some of our big cities remains a major challenge, there are also significant issues with the quality and location of housing across the North East. And there are long-term questions about how we breathe new life into areas of the region with an attractive housing offer.
So how do we move forward and make sure we are meeting these challenges and the many others we face?
CIH North East is your chance to gain a sense of the bigger picture. It’s a chance to take time away from your day job, make crucial contacts and come back with lessons that you can implement from day one.
Our packed programme will feature:
Keynotes – in which experts from the sector, the region and beyond will explore the major challenges housing organisations face.
Masterclasses - which give you the opportunity to get to grips with the challenges you face and take practical lessons back to your organisation. These interactive sessions have three key themes:
- Strategy and leadership
Who should attendThe conference is aimed at housing professionals working in the North East of England. Our programme has been designed so that there is something for housing professionals at every level, from directors to people working on the frontline.

Our compact exhibition floor gives you the chance to showcase your organisation’s work to housing professionals from across the North East region.

This CIH Northern Awards 2019 will recognise outstanding work across a wide range of the sectors activity, reflect the reality of how they operate, and the interwoven nature of so much of what they do.
There is a category to suit everyone working at every level of the housing sector: landlords, developers, voluntary and community groups, private businesses and, of course, the many incredible individuals who make a real difference to people’s lives.
The night is an excellent opportunity to meet with fellow housing professionals and network in a relaxed atmosphere whilst celebrating the work of the sector. The activities will get under way with a drinks reception, followed by a three-course dinner and award ceremony.
Applications for award categories are now open. For more information on how to apply and attend, click here.
Closing date: 13 September 2019
