About the event
The CIH South East Housing Conference is the largest of its kind in the region and attracts over 1200 attendees from across London and the South East. The three day conference has established itself as the essential forum for housing professionals to discuss and debate the hottest topics affecting the industry.
The conference goes from strength to strength and 2016 will be no exception with an array of expert speakers in the sector who will provide policy, strategic and government updates, share good practice with delegates and offer solutions to the issues your organisation may face.

What’s happening in Whitehall?
Gaby Hinsliff, Guardian columnist and former political editor of the Observer will share her thoughts on the latest policy announcements from government and also discuss the changes and impacts ahead for providers.
How affordable is affordable – out of reach housing
With a more focused approach on building more homes – the big debate session during day two will address the key question ‘how affordable is affordable’. Richard Blakeway, Director, Housing for Mayor of London will share his thoughts on affordability and also discuss his role in building more homes for the future.
100 years vs now
Has housing changed over the last 100 years? Terrie Alafat, Chief Executive at the Chartered Institute of Housing will share her thoughts on how housing has changed over the last 100 years and also look ahead to the future of housing in the opening keynote session.

The annual conference will be held at the Brighton Centre. The centre sits in a prime position on Brighton’s seafront and is less than a mile from Brighton railway station. There is no parking onside at the centre however Churchill Square car park is located at the back of the venue on Russell Road and Regency Square car park is also close to the venue.
