Housing to 2040 consultation workshop - Falkirk

28 November 2019, Falkirk

About the event

This event is now fully booked. please email scotland@cih.org to be added to the reserve list.

As the Scottish Government consults on its draft vision for housing to 2040, we want CIH members to help inform the content of the final vision and route map due to be published in spring 2020. We know the big challenges facing the sector include an ageing population, a growing number of households, a climate change emergency, concerns around affordability and of course increasing pressure for housing professionals to deliver more.

We want your input at our consultation workshops on what we need to do to ensure the Scottish Government’s vision for Housing to 2040 matches the ambition of the sector to make sure everyone is able to live in a warm, safe home that meets their needs and to access services to support them to live well, regardless of tenure.

This workshop will hear from Lorna Wilson, Innovation and Future Thinking Lead at the SFHA, who will discuss homes that meet people's needs and in particular

• How do we make sure we’re building homes for the future now?

• Is the housing sector responsive enough to people’s needs?

• How can technology help to ensure we’re building the right homes and delivering the right services?

• Any other issues relevant to the discussion topic

Date and location

This workshop will take place on Thursday the 28th of November 2019 from 10:00 - 12:00 at the following location:

Watling House
Callendar Business Park
