Voters will head to the ballot boxes on Thursday 5 May to decide the outcome of the Scottish Parliamentary Elections. Whilst the pollsters are confident of the overall outcome, the destiny of Scotland’s housing sector remains unclear.

Join us on Tuesday 5 April as CIH Scotland, RICS Scotland, Shelter Scotland and SFHA bring you the Housing Hustings 2016.

The event will be chaired by journalist and former Health Correspondent for BBC Scotland, Pennie Taylor. Housing representatives from each of Scotland’s major political parties will debate the key issues in our sector including:

• Supply of housing and access to housing
• Land and planning
• Energy efficiency and the condition of housing
• Homelessness
• Cost of housing
• Housing in the private sector

Our panellists are as follows:

  • Scottish Conservative Party MSP - Alex Johnston
  • Scottish Green Party MSP - Patrick Harvie
  • Scottish Labour Party MSP - Ken MacIntosh
  • Scottish Liberal Democrat MSP - Jim Hume
  • Scottish National Party MSP - Jim Eadie
