Benefits of attending
‘Owning Your Future 2020’ is a new series of informal ‘how to’ style sessions designed to provide you with a range of professional development skills, tools, knowledge and advice to turn your career aspirations into reality and set you on the right path to success.
Our first session will focus on progression into management.
Are you ready to take that next step in your career but don’t technically have any management experience? Are you confident that you could be a great manager but can’t get someone to give you that opportunity without the supervisory experience? Would you benefit from hearing about strategies that could help you in your journey such as how to reach out to other managers and learn from their management style, secure a mentor, and identify which opportunities you should be seizing that will help develop and hone your management proficiency?
In this session Elin Brock, former Director of Housing at ateb Group and now founding director of her own consultancy company working across housing and regeneration, will share with you the story of her career journey to success and her advice, hints and tips on what you need to know, and more importantly, what you need to do to achieve your first management role.
