Benefits of attending
Partnership working and collaboration are recognised as effective approaches to early intervention and the prevention of homelessness. There is an argument for pushing for more locally led solutions to homelessness in the absence of the type of policy change we need from central government.
This webinar will explore the potential of the Homelessness Reduction Act to spark a fundamental shift in systems and culture that can ultimately drive long term change and tackle underlying causes of homelessness. We will consider what we already know about the importance of systems when developing strategies to tackle homelessness and share some examples of what others are doing in this area, including international approaches.
We will talk about what systems change means, how it is linked with culture and why this is important for tackling homelessness - against a backdrop of a challenging policy and funding.
Delegates will be encouraged to share their views on how systems change might be achieved in their operating areas, including potential barriers and opportunities. Delegates are also asked to share examples of how systems change may already be happening and the impact this is having on tackling homelessness.
