Description of event

If you are working in a development role or simply want to know more about Homes England and their priorities moving forward then this session is an absolute must.Karen Anderson of Homes England will update everyone on the Government's housing accelerator and their new 5 year Strategic Plan. Karen will run through how the agency's ambition to bring together land, money, expertise, and planning and compulsory purchase powers, will support the Government's ambition to deliver 300,000 homes a year, as well as its clear remit to facilitate delivery of sufficient new homes, where they are most needed and to deliver a sustained improvement in affordability.

Find out how Homes England intends to contribute towards the Goverment's ambition and how registered housing providers can help this happen in Yorkshire and Humberside. Hear from housing providers who have embarked upon exciting and ambitious developments to find out what worked well, any challenges, and the lessons learned.

Benefits of attending

This session will provide an opportunity for people in the region to hear about the role of Homes England since its change from the Homes and Communities Agency in January 2018. Homes England will talk about their new role and how they want to work with ambitious organisations to increase and accelerate the delivery of new homes in Yorkshire and Humberside.
