Total Housing 2020
About the event
Total Housing 2020 will come at a key time in the housing calendar. Brexit should be out of the way, and we may well have a new government, with new policy priorities. CIH and a coalition of organisations including NHF and Shelter have called on the government to fund a massive increase in new homes for social rent, and given the growing population in the South East, a significant number of these need to be around London. But where should they go?
We also know that a range of new regulation, on building safety, tenant engagement and the duties of landlords and housing providers, are on the cards, and we should have a clearer idea of both the timescale and the implications of these. Including the cost; some estimates put the figure for bringing all the tower blocks in London into line with all the proposals at more than £6 billion. How will providers communicate these changes to their tenants?
And with all the challenges we face, the need for professionalism across the sector has never been greater. Following on from the social housing green paper, CIH has been working with housing organisations to develop a robust and flexible professional standards framework. How will you, and your organisation, develop and demonstrate your professionalism?
Join us at our flagship event in the South East and London, with unrivalled networking opportunities with over 1,000 housing professionals. There is something for everyone, and with a variety and choice of sessions and speakers, the programme has been designed to keep you up to date with the latest in housing policy and practice, as well as inspire you with learning from international examples and other sectors.
The full programme of sessions, speakers and networking events will be launched in 2020, and will feature three streams of content including:
