Fire safety awareness and risk recognition
We're pleased to announce the launch of this new free to members half day training course developed with South Wales Fire and Rescue Service to provide housing professionals working in a community setting the ability to identify households and tenants that are most at risk from fire.
The programme will cover:
- Assessing and managing risk in the home
- Engaging with tenants in the household who may be at risk from fire
- Communicating and engaging effectively with tenants about fire safety
- Identifying ways in which social housing providers can work effectively with South Wales Fire and Rescue to deliver joint messages and initiatives to raise awareness of fire safety.
Who should attend
This training will be applicable to staff who regularly visit and assess tenants and residents within their own home. However on a more general level the session will be of benefit to all employees as it provides a basic awareness of fire safety that can be applies to all domestic situations.
