Benefits of attending
This will be the first in a series of webinars and online social media #HRChats. The series is designed to reach out to those involved with HR in the housing sector. The sessions will deliver contextualisation of new HR policies through best practice examples, whilst also offering a forum for people to interact during and after the webinar to ask questions, comment and build their network.
The first webinar “All things apprenticeships” will focus on the apprenticeship levy which will have been in place for 12 months in April 2018. Organisations that qualify for this will need to have made inroads for spending the money in the next 12 months or will face losing it altogether. Due to complications and delays in systems and processes, organisations have more often than not paused to think and evaluate before making decisions. The CIH Housing Academy have been working with and advising the sector on what needs to happen and the options available to them.
Kate Dodsworth will provide some real life insight as to how the levy has affected Optivo and what their plans are for the coming months. Vanessa Howellwill be available for the Q&A session at the end so bring your questions along.as
A twitter debate will also take place on @CIHhousing on Monday 05 February 2018, 12.00pm-14.00pm. #HRChat
