Benefits of attending
The green paper sets out the government’s proposed strategy for reforming social housing. It suggests making changes to government policy in a number of areas including:
• getting more affordable homes built
• ensuring existing homes are safe and decent
• how social landlords are regulated
• how complaints about social landlords are dealt with.
Crucially, the green paper is a consultation and the government is currently seeking views on their plans. CIH will be responding to the consultation and we are keen to discuss the ideas presented in the green paper with our members before we submit our response.
This will be a discursive event, during which you will be able to:
• discuss the content of the green paper with experts from our policy team and with fellow CIH members
• give your views to help shape our response to government.
