The power of campaigns: UK Housing Awards special

26 October 2017, webinar

About the event

Time: 1.00pm-2.00pm

Speaker: Jonathan Blease, head of communications, Northern Ireland Housing Executive

Chair: Steve Hayes, communications manager, Chartered Institute of Housing

Benefits of attending

A good campaign has the power to drive a business objective forward, gain its organisation crucial exposure and transform its image. The winner of the 2017 UK Housing Award in the campaign of the year category did all of this and much more.

In the still volatile and unpredictable political and social environment of Northern Ireland, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive developed a campaign around the removal of the peace walls. Managing expectations in the community, owning the message and skilfully navigating huge reputational risk –  the campaign was a huge success and provides valuable lessons on how to manage a message, reach people and effectively communicate a challenging issue.

Join Steve Hayes and Northern Ireland Housing Executive head of communications Jonathan Blease as they track the campaign from its conception through to its skilful implementation. If you work in communications, campaigns or any role which involves communicating with your communities this is an unparalleled opportunity to learn about an award-winning housing campaign. You will also have the chance to join the debate and ask questions throughout.
