Understanding the overall benefit cap
About the webinar
Time: 11am - 12 noon
Sam Lister, policy and practice officer, CIH
David Pipe, policy and practice officer, CIH
What will you learn?
The new, lower overall benefit cap will be introduced from 7 November. It will see the total value of certain benefits that a working age household can receive reduced from £26,000 per year to £20,000 (or £23,000 in London). This will greatly increase the number of households who will be affected and will mean that many landlords, who to date may have had very little experience of working with those whose benefits have been capped, will begin to see it having a real impact in their area.
This webinar will give you all of the most important information about the lower cap and how it will work in practice. It will cover areas like who it applies to and who is exempt, which benefits are included and who is likely to be affected.
This webinar is free to attend for members and £20 + VAT for non-members.
