Choice Based Lettings and Housing Options Event

30 March 2010, London
Booking Code: 15013

About the Event

It has been 5 years since the government set out plans for its CBL policy. The aim was to have choice in place nationwide by 2010. They now want to build on the existing target to incorporate not only all of England’s local authorities but to cover RSL properties and also low cost home ownerships and properties to rent from private landlords.

The Department also wants to develop CBL schemes on a regional and/or sub-regional basis, recognising that housing markets do not follow local authority boundaries. Several of these schemes are now up and running with many more imminent. What can we learn from these latest schemes about implementing and designing CBL?

Through a selection of interactive sessions this event will keep you up to date with everything that is happening in the world of CBL, it will address the key issues facing LAs, RSLs and other stakeholders in delivering and taking CBL forward and will provide a chance for those involved in CBL to feedback their experiences.
