The Chartered Institute of Housing is the independent voice for housing and the home of professional standards

    Excellence in the Private Rented Sector Award supported by Scottish Association of Landlords


    This award is new for 2017 and is open to all agents or landlords operating in the private rented sector in Scotland. It is aimed at letting agents or landlords who strive to excel in the areas of customer service and innovation. What do you do differently which sets you apart from the competition? Is innovation one of the keys to your success? If so, we want to hear from you.

    We are looking for agents or landlords who can demonstrate that they excel in the following criteria:

    • Has developed excellent levels of customer service or tenant satisfaction

    • Has used innovative approaches to solve a particular problem or challenge

    Who is eligible?

    This award is open to any private sector letting agency or landlord.

    How to enter & judging

    Entrants must complete the on-line submission form.

    They should include a supporting statement with a maximum of 800 words, which should be structured around the criteria set out above. Other supporting documents may also be submitted as appendices to the main document. Evidence can include citations from customers or tenants. This submission will provide the basis for both short-listing and the final decision on the winning entry.

    Be sure to send in your nominations by the closing date: Friday 8 September 2017 at 16:00. Nominations will not be accepted after this date.


    The award winner will be announced at the CIH Scotland Excellence Awards Dinner on Friday 27 October 2017 at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh 2017. The winner will receive a commemorative trophy.
