Bob Allan Young Achiever in Housing

The Bob Allan Young Achiever in Housing Excellence Award is presented in conjunction with Friends of Bob Allan. The award aims to recognise individuals who can demonstrate that they have shown passion, commitment and flair in putting the human aspects of tenant or client services first.

Submissions must demonstrate how the individual nominated fulfils some or all of the following criteria:

    - Shows a creative or innovative approach to finding solutions for tenants or clients

    - Shows continuous improvement in the delivery of services to customers in the pursuit of excellence

    - Shows that they are an inspiration to colleagues, tenants or clients

    Who is eligible?

This award is open to anyone under the age of 30 at the time of application who is working or volunteering in a social housing organisation. The housing association must be a local authority, registered social landlord or other not-for-profit organisation involved in the housing sector. Full-time students studying for a housing qualification are also eligible to apply.

    How to enter & judging

Entrants must complete the on-line submission form.

Nominees can be nominated by a colleague, manager, board member, or someone else who knows their contribution well. Self nominations must include a referee.

Nominations must include a maximum 800 word statement outlining the nominee’s virtues and merits. This will provide the basis for both short-listing and the final decision on the winning entry.

Judges will look favourably on entries which address more than the minimum number of criteria.

Be sure to send in your nominations in by the closing date: Friday 8 September 2017 at 16:00. Nominations will not be accepted after this date.

The winner will be announced and the award presented at the CIH Scotland Excellence Awards Dinner on Friday 27 October at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh. As well as a commemorative trophy, the winner will receive a £250 cheque.
