Excellence in Development for Rented Properties sponsored by Northern Housing Company

This award is aimed at developers who have built new residential developments in partnerships with Housing Associations or Local Authorities for social or mid market rental. The development will have created a new community with benefits to the wider area to demonstrate excellence, beyond the minimum required standard in areas such as in energy efficiency; community engagement and partnership working; design quality and location.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible developments must have been completed after January 2015. Developments may be multi-use but rental property must be its primary purpose.

How to apply

Entrants must complete the on-line submission form. They should include a maximum of 1000 words on the development, which should be structured around the elements set out above. Supporting documents may also be submitted as appendices to the main document. This submission will provide the basis for both short-listing and the final decision on the winning entry. Judges will conduct a site visit in late September or early October to determine the overall winner of this award.

Award

The award winner will be announced at the CIH Scotland Excellence Awards Dinner on Friday 11 November at the Glasgow City Hotel. The winner will receive a commemorative trophy.
