Excellence in Development for Affordable Housing supported by HousingScot
Scotland’s Housing sector is working hard to deliver the government's 50,000 new affordable homes target by 2021. This award is aimed at developers who have built new residential developments in any recognised affordable tenure. The development will have created a new community with benefits to the wider area and be able to demonstrate excellence, beyond the minimum required standard, in areas such as in energy efficiency, community engagement and partnership working, design quality and location.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible, developments must have been completed after October 2016. Developments may be multi-use but rental property must be its primary purpose.
How to enter & judging
Entrants must complete the on-line submission form. They should include a maximum of 800 words on the development, which should be structured around the elements set out above. Supporting documents may also be submitted as appendices to the main document. This submission will provide the basis for both short-listing and the final decision on the winning entry.
Be sure to send in your nominations by the closing date: Friday 8 September 2017 at 16:00. Nominations will not be accepted after this date.
The award winner will be announced at the CIH Scotland Excellence Awards Dinner on Friday 27 October 2017 at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh. The winner will receive a commemorative trophy.
