Excellence in Leadership Award supported by ALACHO
This Award is for an individual, and its purpose is to recognise excellent leadership in the sector. It aims to demonstrate the quality of leaders that we have in housing, and to show the rest of the world how brilliant housing people are. Submissions should be able to demonstrate that they have fulfilled the following criteria:
- That the nominee is a proven and outstanding leader
- That they are an excellent role model
Who is eligible?
Leaders can be identified at all levels of organisations, and whilst we anticipate that many nominations will be for professionals at executive level, we would also welcome those who have achieved at any level. They should be able to demonstrate the criteria above.
The award is open to people working in any housing organisation in Scotland, including local authorities, registered social landlords, and private sector organisations, as well as community and tenant organisations.
How to enter & judging
The individual must be nominated by either their team or their manager, in recognition of their work.
The person who is nominating must complete the on-line submission form. They should include a supporting statement with a maximum of 800 words, which should be structured around the criteria set out above. Other supporting documents may also be submitted as appendices to the main document. Evidence could include: citations from staff, any press coverage or interviews with the nominee, and accreditations for leadership (e.g. IIP Certificates). This submission will provide the basis for both short-listing and the final decision on the winning entry.
Be sure to send in your nominations by the closing date: Friday 8 September 2017 at 16:00. Nominations will not be accepted after this date.
The award winner will be announced at the CIH Scotland Excellence Awards Dinner on Friday 27 October 2017 at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh. The winner will receive a commemorative trophy.
