CIH Health and housing conference 2016

Experts came together at the CIH health and housing conference 2016, sponsored by Choice Housing, over 29 and 30 September as CIH celebrated 100 years as the home of housing.

Delegates heard how poor housing means poor health and particularly as our population ages, that housing providers face many challenges in bringing about good health outcomes. These include ensuring that existing homes are warm and decent quality, and that new homes deliver wellbeing through innovative construction and inclusive design.

Conference was told how housing must work together effectively with health and social care to help people stay in their homes, and that independence must be promoted including providing people who are homeless with the support required to maintain a home.

Thanks to sponsors, exhibitors, contributors, delegates and staff of the Ramada Plaza who all helped to make this event a success.
