Rosie Heath, Digital Communications Project Officer, discusses the launch of CIH's new website
I’ve been at CIH about 6 months, brought in to assist with the new website and CRM projects.
It’s go-live day, I still have a list of things to sort but I really feel like finally we’re there. I’m excited and nervous at the same time. I hope CIH gets a positive reaction to the new website and also hope everything works!
I’ve spent a huge amount of my time making sure everything CIH wanted from the initial ideas and concepts are turned into reality and produce the website that the organisation dreamed of for their members and visitors. There are still things we can improve and lots of things we want to do in the future but for now I think we are launching a fab website that will become, in time, the place to be.
Launching a website is an interesting time. I learnt this weekend during an evening spent tasting British and Dutch cheeses that familiarity can be a warm and lovely thing. I soon discovered Dutch cheese is not limited to Edams and Goudas as I had mistakenly thought. It opened my eyes to new tastes and made me reconsider my unwavering allegiance to Cheddar and Stilton! In a similar way I think our website is a voyage of discovery and I think you’ll be impressed with the range of new features and the new look. I’m really looking forward to hearing what you think.
