Learning 2 let: making the private rented sector better for everyone
Alan Shanley, marketing and communications officer at CIH Northern Ireland, talks about the learning 2 let programme, how it works, and how it can help make the private rented sector better for landlords, letting agents, tenants, and everyone involved in the property management process…The fully accredited learning 2 let programme developed by CIH Northern Ireland, will give private landlords and letting agents the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to ensure excellent standards of practice within the sector, and at the same time ensure full compliance with all their various legal obligations.
Designed specifically for private landlords, letting agents, environmental health officers and anyone working in a professional housing role, the course leads to a CIH Level 2 Award in Letting and Managing Residential Property.
Where, when and what cost?
The learning to let programme is in receipt of bursary finding from the Department for Communities for a three year period, from 2016-2019.
The result is that you can now get qualified for a cost of just £100 – a saving of £275 on the normal course fee. Furthermore, the course is being rolled out right across Northern Ireland, to ensure that as many people as possible have access to it, while it will also be available as an online course from this November coming.
If you are interested in booking a place on this level 2 course, (or if you know of someone who you feel might be interested), please note that it is proving to be extremely popular, and hugely successful, with every course to date fully booked weeks in advance. As a result, early booking is not just advised, but imperative!
