Get involved in Talk Money Week

06/11/2018

CIH Scotland’s policy and practice officer Susanne Flynn provides an update on this year’s Talk Money Scotland Week which takes place from 12-18 November 2018 and highlights how you can get involved.

This year’s Talk Money Scotland Week (formerly Financial Capability Week) will take place from 12-18 November 2018 and aims to celebrate the work that thousands of organisations, including housing organisations, are doing to improve financial capability across the UK.

Organised by the Money Advice Service and the Scotland Financial Capability Forum, this year’s theme is ‘financial wellbeing’ and organisations from across Scotland are being encouraged to take part by showcasing their services and offering advice and information to customers regarding access to free debt advice, savings, financial education, and reducing the use of credit for everyday spending.

There are also a number of events taking place across Scotland, including:

Scottish Financial Education Showcase – Current and Future

COSLA, Edinburgh, 11:00 – 15:30

You can show your support by posting your details on the Talk Money Map and you can find out more ways for your organisation to get involved by downloading the Talk Money Week Participation Pack.
