Webinar recap: Supporting vulnerable people to live independently through the COVID-19 crisis

The initial phase of the housing sector’s and the government’s response to the Covid-19 crisis was ensuring that the homeless, particularly rough sleepers, who often have very complex needs, were found safe and sustainable accommodation for the period of the lockdown. This meant ensuring that they received the support services they needed to be able to isolate and adhere to lockdown protocols. Supporting people with complex needs in the current environment has been a monumental task that the support and sheltered housing sectors have dealt with admirably, in often very difficult circumstances. We were joined by Cymorth Cymru director, Katie Dalton, who shared how supported housing professionals have responded and what lessons have been learnt..
