CIH ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Housing and the environment that housing organisations work in is changing. Over the next few years the sector will face a wide range of challenges and opportunities from increasing housing supply to addressing issues around climate change. CIH offers practical solutions to the difficult task of changing housing organisations, and the individuals within them, to meet these challenges and deliver your organisational priorities.

CIH STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

CIH has introduced a new opportunity for UK housing organisations to develop a closer relationship with CIH. Called CIH Strategic Partnerships they give housing organisations access to our full range of services. In addition, CIH Strategic Partnerships offer bespoke solutions, using our extensive knowledge and expertise, to support your organisational success.

CIH STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

More than ever housing organisations need highly skilled staff and access to practice advice that is underpinned by influential policy thinking. A CIH Strategic Partnership offers your organisation a tailored solution to your learning and skills needs. CIH Strategic Partnerships help you to:
  • develop a structured approach to staff learning;
  • develop a shared approach to Continuing Professional Development and succession planning;
  • get better access to cutting edge housing practice and policy thinking;
  • ensure your people can influence the development of housing and housing professions; and
  • access new and innovative CIH services as they become available.

SUPPORTING CHANGE

CIH provides housing organisations with a range of high level training and development programmes to support change and the delivery of your organisational priorities. Current programmes for senior members of your organisation include:

HR PROFESSIONALS

HR Professionals in housing organisations have an important role to play in the development of skills in a high profile sector with high expectations from Government and the public. CIH is offering complimentary membership to HR Professionals with the opportunity to learn more about the fast-changing housing world, and to provide organisations in the sector with a valuable new resource to support the professional development of their employees.

TENANT MEMBERSHIP

Tenants can make a unique contribution to your organisational development. To support their learning and knowledge, CIH has introduced a new discounted membership fee of £45 for tenants. The reduced membership fee will provide a new opportunity to get more residents involved in the work of housing organisations, especially any tenants working with your board and involved in community projects.

CUSTOMER INSIGHT

Understanding your customers is vital to the success of any housing organisation. Knowing who your customers are, what services they value and what they will need for the future is key to delivering truly customer focused services. CIH has produced a new publication called Customer Insight to support your organisational development, including: the housing policy context; how customer insight can be embedded into operational and strategic thinking; understanding customers and gathering data; developing insight into customer focused service delivery; and how to use insight to improve business efficiency.
