Does size matter - or does culture drive value for money?
In 2005 CIH produced its briefing Is big really best - or can small and friendly deliver? The publication considered the impact of size in relation to the efficiency and performance of housing associations in England.
This report revisits that research. It considers how well equipped the sector is to respond to fundamental changes to the economic climate, increased regulatory emphasis on governance, viability and value for money and new funding models for investment in affordable housing, which are likely to have a profound impact on the operating environment for housing associations in England.
As well as the full report, a summary of its key findings is also available.
