Role of housing in drugs recovery

07/09/2012

Role of housing in drugs recoveryHaving a decent, safe and secure home is the foundation for people being able to overcome problems, make the most of their lives and contribute to society.  This compendium of case studies explores the role of housing to help people recover successfully from drugs and alcohol misuse. The aim is for it to help organisations developing such services, and those who recognise they have tenants who want such support. It is a response to a working group brought together by DCLG earlier this year, to increase awareness of the importance of housing in recovery, and encourage more support services to develop.
