All housing organisations have a vital role to play in breaking the cycle and tackling the causes of financial exclusion within their communities.
Housing organisations are acknowledged by the Treasury's Financial Inclusion Taskforce as 'trusted intermediaries'. The established relationship between landlord, tenant, and community provides avenues through which financial inclusion and financial capability services can be delivered.
