Strategic Approaches to Homelessness: Good Practice Briefing No 24

Strategic Approaches to Homelessness:
Good Practice Briefing No 24

Special Offer Price: £5.00

Homelessness is a live policy area across the UK. New and forthcoming legislation will mean significant changes in the way authorities tackle homelessness. In addition, the Government has set targets for reduction of the use of B&B for homeless families and for continued reduction in the number of people sleeping rough, while the priority need groups owed a full housing duty have been expanded.

In all UK countries, additional resources have been allocated for preventing and tackling homelessness, but these come with the clear expectation of improved and more effective services.

The Briefing provides examples of both good and innovative practice in this area, along with checklists for action. It will be of interest to both front-line staff and policy makers in local authorities and housing associations/registered social landlords.
