Director of assets and neighbourhoods
Richard, BSc (Hons) MRICS, MCIH, has been with CIH consultancy since its inception on 1 January 2007. Richard is a Chartered Surveyor and a Chartered Member of the CIH.
Richard’s work is grounded on 20 years of experience in providing a wide range of asset management, regeneration and neighbourhood sustainability work for local authorities, ALMO, housing associations and private sector clients. Richard has also carried out direct management of social housing and of privately owned leasehold accommodation.
The focus of Richard’s activities is to ensure that strategies, tools and practical approaches are in place that maximise the contribution and performance of the organisation’s housing stock and ‘liveability’ of their neighbourhoods. In this way, the organisation’s homes, estates and neighbourhoods can contribute fully to meeting the wide range of corporate, organisational and resident requirements.
Richard is a regular speaker at regional and national conferences. He was on both the Steering and Advisory Groups of CIH’s ‘repairs and maintenance: Getting the basics right’ campaign and on the Steering Group of the joint Inside Housing/CIH HOMES event held annually in London in November.
