Right to buy
Extending right to buy to housing association tenants in England was one of the Conservative party's flagship manifesto pledges in the run-up to the general election 2015. In September, the National Housing Federation (NHF) asked its members to vote on a proposal which would see the scheme extended without the need for legislation. NHF members voted in favour of the proposal which the government has since accepted.
Various measures relating to the extension of the right to buy were subsequently included in the Housing and Planning Act 2016. CIH is here to make sure you and your organisation are ready for the changes to come.
