CIH DISTANCE LEARNING

CIH Distance Learning is a flexible way of gaining the qualification you need to keep you up to date with the changing world of housing. It is an ideal way to improve your skills and career prospects while at work. Studying by distance learning means that you do not need to attend a college one day a week, instead you can work at home at a pace which suits you and your lifestyle. You will be linked to one of our regional centres around the country who will support you while you study.

The deadline for our next intake has been extended to 19th March 2010. However the deadline for our Level 3 courses remains at 12th March 2010. Distance Learning courses available from the CIH March intake include-:
  • Level 3 Certificate
  • Level 4 Certificate and Diploma
  • Level 4 Certificate in Access to Housing
  • Professional Diploma in Housing (undergraduate route)
  • MSc Housing Studies

The deadline for our CIOB-CIH courses is Friday 7th May 2010-:
  • CIOB – CIH Level 3 Certificate
  • CIOB – CIH Level 4 Certificate and Diploma

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q. What is Distance Learning?
A. Studying by Distance Learning means that you do not need to attend a college one day a week. You will be linked to a Regional Centre who will appoint a tutor to provide support for you over the telephone and by e.mail. You will have access to resources from home allowing you to learn in way to suit your lifestyle.

Q. I am not working in housing, can I do a course?
A. Yes but you will need a placement with a housing organisation before applying for the course.

HOW TO APPLY

Before you apply for a course, you need to decide on:
  • the course you are interested in
  • if you have any previous qualifications which will count towards the qualification you are interested in
  • when you can begin studying

FEES & FUNDING

Company sponsored students will need to provide a signed declaration from their employer with the application form.

Self sponsored students can pay in instalments.
