Specialist routes to membership

We offer special routes to membership for senior housing professionals, HR professionals and those who wish to follow a route to CIH Chartered membership based on experience and professional competencies.

Direct Final

The Direct Final is a fast-track route to CIH Chartered membership for senior housing professionals and academics. Applicants can apply to do either the Direct Final academic route or the new experiential route.

Worked based

Work based route to CIH Chartered membership is designed for experienced housing professionals who do not have any formal housing qualifications.

HR professional membership

HR professional membership is for people working in HR roles in housing organisations. Eligible members would join as CIH members.

Tenant membership

The tenant membership is available if you play an active role in supporting your community.  You don't need any qualifications or experience of working in the housing industry.
