Description

This training will be over five weeks and participants can engage in all five or in individual ones to meet their organisation’s training need.

Gain an understanding of domestic abuse, the barriers to accessing support and what housing providers can practically do to support our residents and staff members.

Learning Outcomes

Week 5 – Pledge 4 - Appoint a champion at a senior level in your organisation to own the activity you are doing to support people experiencing domestic abuse.

This session will highlight the crucial role of leadership in your organisation and living the values of the pledge and cover:
  • Making domestic abuse core business
  • Leader and Executive team to embed across the business
  • Examples of national good practice
  •  Video (or personal appearance) of personal story

Who should attend?

This online training has been designed for all levels, from front-line operatives to organisational leaders. It would also be valuable for board members and customers who are involved

Dr Kelly Henderson – Co-founder Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance

Prior to her current role as DAHA Co-founder and Business Manager, Kelly was the Domestic and Sexual Violence Lead for a local authority, coordinating the area's Multi Agency Domestic Abuse Partnership.
Kelly's housing experience includes roles in housing management, asylum, policy and research.
