Blended Learning Level 3 Certificate in Housing practice - Republic of Ireland

A housing professional who gains an accredited qualification from CIH will be equipped with key skills and expert knowledge, and able to add value to their organisation and contribute to performance improvement in a fast-changing environment.
The Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice is a ten month blended learning programme which is a combination of online and face-to-face learning. which provides you with a broader knowledge and understanding of key areas in delivering housing services.
You will study a total of eight units: five core units and a further three units.
The following five core units provide essential underpinning knowledge for working in housing organisations:
• The housing system
• Professional practice skills for housing
• Occupancy, tenure and lettings
• Rental income management
• Dealing with anti-social behaviour in housing
You also study a further three units:
• Delivery of housing services
• Involving housing service users
• Sustainable communities
Who should attend
To benefit from this programme you should be working in either a paid or voluntary capacity in housing and must also have completed either:
CIH Level 2 Certificate in Housing Practice
an equivalent Level 2 qualification or higher.
If you do not meet either of the above criteria you must have six months experience of working in the housing sector. You will be asked to provide evidence of your qualifications and/or experience of working in the sector as part of the application process
What can I expect as a CIH learner?
This course is delivered through blended learning, which is a combination of online and face-to-face learning.
You will be required to attend five face-to-face learning days as part of this course which are delivered by a CIH tutor, which includes an induction at the beginning of your course. This is enhanced with access to e-learning materials and the on-going support of a tutor.
You will be allocated an academic tutor(s) who will offer you support throughout your course via email and telephone on request. Your tutor will assess your assignments and give you feedback as well as providing you with advice and support on any academic issues.
You will be supported by the CIH Housing Academy team throughout your course, who will offer guidance when personal or work related problems arise which may affect your studies.
